Dear Members and Friends,

The European Festival which took almost a year to prepare was celebrated at the Scandinavian Community Centre on Saturday, May 31, 2008 and it was another memorable day and a source of pride for our community members living in British Columbia.

Our army of volunteers, under the leadership of our valued coordinator Guler Aylar, who literally devoted her months to meticulously organize each and every activity at the festival, has engraved the unique Anatolian cultural heritage to the memories of the thousands of participants from the early hours of morning till late at night, contributing to the diverse cultural life of Vancouver.

Here we would like to acknowledge the valuable contributions of each and every volunteer whose detailed list is given below and extend our thanks to them. We are grateful to those who devoted their time and worked in great harmony presenting a true sense of volunteering in this extraordinary activity we have attended in the name of our community in Vancouver.
