celebrated 79th Anniversary of Turkish Republic
We celebrated
79th anniversary of Turkish Republic at Delta Vancouver Airport
Hotel. Our members filled the allowed capacity of the hotel
with 216 guests. UBC Turkish Student Society exhibited their
folklore skills. UBC students were very active in assisting
Turkish Society for the preparation of the night. Emre, Kaan,
Bahar and Orcun sang Turkish songs, and Doruk, Kemal and Caglar
were our disk jockey volunteers. A number of our members provided
gifts for the lottery. The guests celebrated our most significant
national day in a united and happy atmosphere until past midnight.
We thank the organizers, volunteers, UBC students and all of
our friends for their support, assistance and cooperation for
the successful celebration of our Republican Day.
